2026 Artist-in-residence weekend
(Two notes: 1. I have modified this to be a big jump back first, and then forward, and then back and forward again, rather than starting forward, which I think makes it much less likely that the kids will just jump like crazy and lose the circle! 2. In my version, the kids shake hands and say “Shalom <name>” to the person directly next to them in the circle, one at a time, rather than a free-for-all of shaking and shaloming. Another version of the freer style (and slightly different opening moves) is here if you want to see it.)

Nigun Atik (aka Zemer Atik)
The line dances were
The partner dances were
(I do six slides and two claps, instead of eight slides.)
(They keep the same partner by going backward and forward for part two; I taught it as a mixer, going to the right and left for part two, which is harder, but more fun!)
More dances that are good for beginners and kids can be found here!

The dances for the smallest kids (K-2) were:
This is the sitting down dance. Here’s your kids doing it (private unlisted video)
